The obvious highlight of a trek to Everest Base Camp is the base camp itself!  After a short flight from Kathmandu to the beginning of the trek at Lukla, it's a week to 10-day trek to base camp.  Along the way, we admire some of the world's most amazing mountain scenery, stay in locally owned teahouses and soak in the incredible sherpa culture.

You also don't want your other photos to be all selfies! You want photos to be proud of. But, how do you begin to plan?  Fresh Tracks Hiking will accompany you on your trek and take photos that will last a lifetime!

Watch The Sunrise From 18,500 Feet

Trek to 18,500 feet (5,639 meters) and watch the sunrise over Mt. Everest at Kala Patthar.  This is a peak that towers nearly 1,000 feet over Everest Base Camp and is the best point to watch the sunrise in the Everest region.

Avoid The Crowds

Oversold flights. Packed trails.  Full guesthouses.  Missing an amazing photo because too many people blocking your view.  This is the story every year during the two peak trekking seasons. Sounds like fun?  We don't think so!  We go a few weeks before peak season begins to avoid the crowds and have the entire trek to ourselves!
